Selina Marcantonio was brought up in Gunnison Colorado into a family where creativity was celebrated. Toying with self expression through art was a constant in childhood and was funneled into focus after buying some cheap oil paints and being hooked on it’s messy and diverse nature and became a self taught artist. Subject fixation began in the beginning of 2021 when her only motivation came from the subconscious imagery of dreams. This art form for the artist has sewn together internal symbolism and memories that echo the deeply personal experiences of life and the lessons they gave her.
